Other Way Ranch Mares ~ Jasmine

We acquired Jasmine in October 2004. She was supposed to be the most difficult of the three horses we looked at, but has been no problem at all. The people who owned her didn't know that she was gaited. She does trot, but is not difficult to get into an easy gait. Every now and then a few "Arabish" tendencies come through. The main one was Jasmine's tendency to balk at crossing water of any kind. She has improved tremendously since I first rode her. Jasmine will now walk through mud puddles, cross creeks and even walk into ponds.

One of my friends rode her at the 2005 Chuckwagon Races in Clinton, AR. Jasmine's rider hadn't ridden in several years, yet they got along just fine. I was extremely pleased with both. The pictures below were taken at the Chuckwagon Races.
